At POTH, our mission to create lasting change is already bearing fruit. Here's a closer look at our achievements so far:
We have recorded two hours of captivating audio stories from the Maasai community, capturing their rich history, traditions, and unique way of life. These stories are the first steps toward creating a comprehensive archive to ensure their culture is preserved amidst modern challenges.
As part of our commitment to combating deforestation in Tungamalenga, we initiated an afforestation project by planting four trees. While it’s a small start, it signifies our dedication to preserving and regenerating the natural environment that is so integral to the Maasai way of life. This project will expand in the coming years, involving more trees and community participation.
Recognizing healthcare as a basic human right, we facilitated critical medical care for baby girl Anna, who has epilepsy. By ensuring she could access a hospital in a nearby town, we helped her receive the treatment she desperately needed, showcasing our commitment to providing support for vulnerable individuals.
We are proud to support Devota, a promising young woman, in her journey to higher education by helping her attend university. This achievement not only changes her life but also empowers her to bring back knowledge and skills that can positively impact her community in the future.
